FOS Decor is going into the 2013 wedding and special event season with an exciting new lineup of high-quality furniture, lighting and room decor rentals. While all of your favourite rental pieces are still part of our inventory, we’ve expanded our collection to add even more stylish options for our clients.
Our online collection will soon boast a wealth of new colours and textures, including the addition of elegant metallics, leather-like finishes, funky patterns and creative furniture designs. Many of our new furniture rentals have never been used before in the GTA, and are exclusive to the FOS Decor collection.

We’ll soon be updating our online collection to include all of the new pieces. Until then, our designers will be happy to show you photos during your design consultation, or to discuss upgrading your existing designs to include our latest and greatest rental options.
It’s a brand new year and we’re kicking it off with a brand new way to reward you for your wedding purchases! FOS has partnered with Bridal Card, an exclusive new wedding rewards program where brides earn points on every dollar spent with top-tier wedding professionals.
When you use your Bridal Card, you can earn points on just about any purchase you can think of for your Big Day, including flowers, decor, photography, cakes, gowns, etc. Points can be redeemed for amazing prizes on the BridalCard.ca website, such as honeymoon vacations, gift cards, and even cash.

Every year FOS looks for meaningful ways to make the holiday season merrier for those in need.
This year, FOS adopted a family of 3 from ETA Vaughan Women’s Shelter. We were given a long list of things this mother and her 2 young daughters need to help them move forward with their lives. Each employee of FOS Decor Center and our sister companies purchased items from the family’s wish list that were wrapped and delivered in time for Christmas.
Our gifts will ensure FOS’ adopted mother and her two girls, ages 5 and 2, have a Merry Christmas that takes them away from their daily struggles. Donations include games, toys, clothing, gift cards and more – things the family needs as they start a new and happy life together that’s free from violence. We hope our support will give this deserving young family some much-needed joy this holiday season.
In addition to our participation in ETA Vaughan’s Adopt-a-Family program, FOS is also holding its traditional Christmas Canned Food Drive, where cans and other non-perishable food are collected throughout December. We run an internal canned food drive every year without fail in an effort to combat the problem of hunger in our community.
FOS is proud to support those in need this and every year. As Christmas draws closer, we’re reminded of how lucky we are to have the love and support of our friends and family, and are thrilled to pass on the spirit of the season.

With the holiday season approaching, FOS is getting ready for a busy lineup of corporate events. We take great pride in our corporate work, and are intimately familiar with the needs and goals of our clients. Our designers are experts at conceptualizing and designing perfect scenes based on each event’s objectives. We then execute each design with an exacting eye to meet our award-winning standards.
Generally there are three kinds of corporate events: branding/marketing events, corporate galas and staff parties.
Branding/marketing events: FOS can help conceptualize and execute marketing events that deliver powerful brand messages. Being ahead of the event trends, FOS designers have experience developing innovative branding and marketing ideas that haven’t been done before – fresh twists that give guests unique experiences to remember the brand by. On the decor side, custom props, furniture and AV production are used to create an environment that achieves the client’s objectives.
Corporate galas: FOS has designed many corporate galas, including fundraisers and conferences. These are generally upscale, ticket-based events that may or may not have a theme. We work alongside event organizers to come up with a concept, and then FOS designs and executes the event using our various decor divisions: props, centerpieces, draping, lighting, staging and furniture. FOS also provides 3D renderings of the event space and design for a realistic preview before execution.
Staff parties: Staff parties are fun events with a sophisticated edge. Companies use staff parties to give their employees and their families a great time in a glamorous setting. For these events, it’s important to ensure the atmosphere is conducive to letting loose, without being too casual. Generally we achieve this by focusing on clever design and decor themes. We have an extensive collection of props that are used often for staff parties, along with traditional design elements like colourful draping and table settings.
FOS Decor has won and been nominated for numerous national awards and accolades for our event designs and production. We have a strong reputation of working with event organizers/planners to ensure the client’s vision is realized. Whether we’re designing a company Christmas party for 60 people or an experiential marketing event for thousands of guests, FOS has the experience and knowledge required to make that corporate event a memorable success.

If not, hopefully you at least got to check out the BACARDI Lounge, which was also designed by yours truly. We even gave away $5,000 worth of wedding decor rentals to one very lucky bride-to-be.

FOS had a big 10’ x 30’ booth where we showed off 2 stunning table concepts in line with our “new and old” design philosophy. Our table designs aimed to bring the traditional and the contemporary together under one roof. In this case, under one canopy.
The first table we featured evoked the old tradition of fall harvest in a modern way. The contemporary s-shaped table was covered in our Chanel overlay and surrounded by mahogany Chiavari chairs. To take the place of the iconic cornucopia, fall-coloured flowers stretched out of an elegant glass bowl. Four more arrangements of yellow and red flowers dotted the length of the serpentine table.
Our second table was a feat in flowers. We completely covered a big Manhattan table with white flowers in place of a tablecloth. The centerpiece was a classic candelabra covered in flowers for an FOS twist. Ghost chairs were positioned at the two heads of the table, while a chic sofa-bench and 4 padded ottomans made up the side seating.
FOS was thrilled to be chosen to design the BACARDI Lounge, which was naturally one of the more exciting booths at the show. We produced a dramatic black and white lounge with a huge bar that was never short on drinks or drinkers. The mix of contemporary seating and a gothic-esque coffee table created an intense tasting atmosphere where thirsty show-goers could indulge in style.
Finally, attendees were invited to scan complimentary card invitations at the kiosks by our booth to enter a draw for $5,000 worth of wedding decor rentals.
